Hi, I’m Kitty!

I’m a UX/product designer based in Los Angeles, CA. I have a passion for crafting simple and elegant design solutions and bringing order to chaos. With empathy for users, my team, and stakeholders as my north star, I explore, learn, and iterate to improve user experiences and digital products. Always looking on the bright side, I enjoy bringing a positive, resourceful mindset, and an intellectually curious can-do attitude to my work. Currently, I’m teaching UX/UI design at Ed X Education.

Hi, I’m Kitty!
Pleasure to meet you.

I’m a UX designer and product designer based in Los Angeles, CA. Currently, I’m working on website user experiences at MongoDB and teaching UX/UI design for Trilogy Education.

UX and product design are ultimately about people. There is a responsibility that comes with knowing that real humans, not simply “personas”, will be interacting with the products and user experiences we create. That’s why empathy and user-centered design thinking are my guiding light in all the work that I do. By focusing on understanding the users and helping them reach their goals, my work allows businesses to increase customer retention and market share while lowering the cost of acquisition.

In my spare time, I enjoy curling up with a cup of tea and a good book. You can also find me hiking, camping, or backpacking at one of California’s many breathtaking National Parks.

I’m Guided by Three Principles

Optimism

Monty Python taught me to “always look on the bright side of life.” I bring an upbeat, can-do attitude to every project and problem I’m solving.

Collaboration

There are no “rockstars” in UX. Design is a team sport. We all win and our skills shine when we work together. Everyone I work with has something to teach me.

Empathy

Empathy for the users, my team mates, and stakeholders is my guiding light. Great UX and leadership start with seeing and understanding how people feel.

And People Enjoy Working With Me

“Kitty is a very authentic and vocal member in any team. She always contributes bold statements with the product’s best interest in mind, and she excels as a designer when it comes to gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders, as well as translating those into beautiful mock-ups. I would recommend Kitty for any Product Design role that involves taking true ownership of the product and processes.”

“Kitty made a long-lasting impression with me. Her ability to communicate ideas and design principles made completing design sprints far easier than I had previously experienced. She is incredibly insightful and quick-witted. She possesses a keen eye for composition and color and maintains such a playful outlook towards design itself. Any organization would be lucky and all the more equipped with Kitty as a part of their team.”
